The group's vocal arrangements emphasize close harmony, uplifting choruses and an accessible urban production aesthetic. Working with independent labels like Marlee Records, C-WINS crafted songs aimed at both gospel audiences and R&B radio, balancing spiritual lyrics with modern grooves. Their sound reflects the era's crossover approach, where faith-based messages met polished, radio-friendly instrumentation.

This promotional CD single highlights C-WINS' dual focus with two tracks taken from their album Kickin' With A Friend. The single features the uplifting "What He's Done For Me" alongside the smoother, contemporary cut "Make Me Aware," showcasing the group's range from spirited praise to intimate R&B balladry. Issued on Marlee Records in 1994 (catalog MRLD50002), this release was pressed for promotional distribution to support the full-length album and radio play.

Promo CD single.
