The collection features UK and international artists spanning alternative rock, Britpop, electronica and acid jazz, bringing together both radio-friendly singles and club-oriented tracks. Many of the contributors were prominent on radio and music television at the time, so the compilation serves as a snapshot of the era. Its roster includes established names and up-and-coming acts, reflecting the diverse soundtrack of late 90s gaming and youth culture.

This release pairs a music CD with a second disc of PlayStation playable demos, making it part soundtrack and part promotional gaming sampler. The music disc includes tracks by Apollo Four Forty, Jamiroquai, Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers and others, while the bonus disc offers game demos such as Ape Escape, Wipeout and Ridge Racer Type 4. The selection underscores the connection between popular music and the PlayStation brand during the period, combining hit singles with more experimental electronic pieces. For collectors it represents a period-specific cross-promotion between the music industry and gaming.

Contains 8 free PlayStation playable demos.
