The project merges hard electronic beats, aggressive sampling, and distorted guitar textures to create a dense and confrontational sound. Their music sits at the intersection of EBM and industrial rock, emphasizing heavy rhythm and layered production. Excessive Force has often explored darker, more abrasive sonic territory than mainstream electronic acts, delivering music intended for fans of underground industrial music.

Gentle Death, released in 1993, collects a mix of originals, remixes, and extended versions that showcase the project’s harsh electro-industrial approach. The release features tracks such as "Violent Peace," "Blitzkrieg," and "Stormraiser," combining driving percussion with abrasive synths and vocal deliveries. This edition highlights production techniques common to early 90s industrial releases, including layered sampling and remix-driven arrangements. Fans of aggressive electronic music will find the track selection representative of the era’s club and alternative industrial scenes.

Produced and mixed by Sascha Konietzko and Chris Shepard.
