The characters arrive at 7:40 for an 8:00 PM dinner. Unfortunately, as they wander around the mansion, the host is murdered. It is obvious one of the characters is the perpetrator -- but who, when and with what murder weapon is the mystery that needs solving.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eYou must discover clues by walking around the mansion and checking the rooms by clicking on them. If you meet another player, you can ask what they were doing at each of the five-minute intervals between 7:40 and 8 PM. It's possible also to discover which players visited a room by studying the clues found there.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003ePlay is in real time and the time periods for each player are established during the game's setup phase. Foul Play: Mystery at Awkward Manor is structured so that adults and children can play the same game, yet be equally challenged by adjusting the length of their turns. Each player can set his or her turn to be as short as one and half minutes or as long as three. Less experienced or younger players can take longer time periods while older or more experienced players can be challenged with shorter times.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe game requires six players in order to play correctly and is based on the game of Clue, though with different names for the characters and slightly different weapons. There are ten available difficulty levels with the first nine played on the bottom floor of the mansion. The tenth level includes the top floor and another 15 minutes (the guests arrive at 7:25 rather than 7:40). After a player deduces the solution, he or she calls the police.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eNavigating around the manor is a simple point-and-click matter and objects can be searched in the same manner. The game features in-game help that can be activated at any time but freezes a player's turn at that point.
