He favors melodic piano lines, acoustic guitar textures, and ambient production that support strong melodic statements. Nichols builds arrangements that feel both intimate and expansive, appealing to listeners who enjoy reflective and narrative musical moments. His recordings are crafted with a focus on atmosphere, emotional pacing, and accessible melodic content.

Mysterious Intentions, released in 1997, showcases Nichols’ cinematic approach across original instrumentals and thoughtful arrangements. The album moves between lush, slow-burning pieces and more rhythmic, melodic tracks, including Convergence, Miss Saszee, The Last Goodbye, and the title track Mysterious Intentions. It also features Nichols’ interpretation of Theme From Star Trek: First Contact and a rendition of Amazing Grace, folding familiar themes into a contemporary instrumental palette. A brief Humphrey Bogart's voice sample appears on one track, adding a cinematic touch to the overall listening experience.

Credits:
Legal Counsel • James Scott Brown

Accountant • Michael Houston, CPA

Photography • Mark Jackson, Main Street Studios

Jacket Design • David Rancudo, JAR Creative

© 1997 Grady Nichols, LTD

Tracklist

1.
Convergence
3.54

2.
Miss Saszee
4.37

3.
The Last Goodbye
6.29

4.
Forever Friend
5.10

5.
Mysterious Intentions*
6.23

6.
While You Wait
4.00

7.
First Snow
6.08

8.
No Man Is An Island
5.17

9.
Theme From Star Trek: First Contact**
5.23

10.
Amazing Grace
5.01

For CD Player
