Emerging from the late 1980s UK acid-jazz scene, the group has always balanced tight horn arrangements, warm keyboards and propulsive bass lines, crafting music that resonates with both jazz purists and club audiences. With a rotating cast of musicians and frequent guest vocalists, each release feels collaborative and refreshed, yet consistently rooted in melody, rhythm and polished, organic production.

No Time Like The Future captures the band at a late-1990s peak, presenting ten expansive tracks that move from upbeat funk grooves to mellow, atmospheric pieces. The album marries instrumental prowess with soulful vocal moments, showcasing brass textures and contemporary production techniques that nod to jazz fusion and soulful pop. Cuts such as "I Can See The Future" and their take on "Nights Over Egypt" underline Incognito’s ability to reinterpret classic influences while delivering arrangements built for both dancefloors and attentive listening.

This promotional edition highlights the group’s commitment to tight musicianship and danceable sophistication, making it a compelling snapshot of their sound at the end of the decade. It illustrates a pivotal moment when UK acid jazz matured into a broader nu-jazz and contemporary soul movement, influencing DJs, live bands and a new generation of producers. Whether sought by collectors, radio programmers or newcomers, the album stands as a strong representation of Incognito’s enduring artistry and cross-genre appeal.

Tracklist

01
Wild And Peaceful
05:44

02
Get Into My Groove
04:59

03
It Ain't Easy
06:16

04
Marrakech
06:41

05
Fearless
06:14

06
Nights Over Egypt
07:08

07
Centre Of The Sun
05:02

08
More Of Myself
04:50

09
I Can See The Future
08:14

10
Black Rain
08:19

For CD Player
