The presentation showcases the Los Angeles scene sensibility with an emphasis on rhythm, groove and dancefloor energy.

L.A. Groove collects over seventy minutes of funky grooves and breakbeats, sequenced and mixed by Jesse Brooks for a non-stop compilation set. The compilation emphasises raw breakbeat edits, funk-inflected electronic tracks and club-ready production values typical of late 1990s underground dance releases. Listeners will find this item useful as both a snapshot of the period and a DJ-style continuous mix that keeps momentum across its many contributors.
