Each race, for example the Trow and the Dwarves, has several units, for a total of thirty-nine units in the game. Unlike most RTS games, Myth III has no resource gathering (like the first two games) so the units you are given in the start of the mission are all you get.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eMyth III: The Wolf Age was developed to maintain the balance and interface of 1997's original 3D RTS game, enhancing and improving individual aspects of presentation and play but retaining the overall structure of earlier titles. While perspective choices and basic control schemes should be familiar and comfortable to veterans of the series, graphical enhancements and more fully interactive environments add depth and flavor to the now classic gameplay established in Myth: The Fallen Lords and it's first sequel. All units and terrain features are now rendered in true 3D and weather-affected environments are deformable.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe single-player campaign follows a story set 1,000 years before the original game, in which the great human hero Connacht first delivers his people from the deadly influence of the Myrkridia and Trow races.
