Unsuccessfully trying to generate a fan base while directly competing with these “nationals” causes most local acts to fold within their first couple of years. Then there’s OPTYX.\u003cbr\u003eSince solidifying their line-up in December of 2001, this quartet has generated such a following that selling out their shows has become commonplace. The numbers continue to grow as you can always find these guys out at local venues and shows promoting. But it takes more than great promotion to bring the numbers…it takes great music.
