After an arduous beginning fraught with publishing delays as well as title, pricing, and content changes, CH has indeed come through on its promise. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe result, while still a work in progress, is one of which anyone researching in the arts should take note. In its present state, the PCI database on CD-ROM provides electronic access to the tables-of-contents of hundreds of journals in the humanities and social sciences that were published beginning as early as 1815 and continuing through to 1991. All journals covered are or will be covered from their beginning, either in their entirety or through to 1991. To date, four segments have been published. Series One includes coverage from the nineteenth century through 1960, with Segment One and Segment Three covering North American journals and Segment Two covering European journals. Segment Four, which will add significantly to the European cov-erage, is projected to be published later this year.
