The group helped open doors for female MCs in mainstream music, scoring hits that combined streetwise rap with pop and R&B sensibilities. Their work blends sharp lyrical attitude with dancefloor-ready production and memorable choruses, a formula that kept them prominent through the 1990s. Salt-N-Pepa's legacy rests on both their chart success and their role as pioneers for women in hip hop.

This release, "The Brick Track Versus Gitty Up," is a late-1990s single that pairs Salt-N-Pepa's vocal style with club-oriented remixes. The package highlights a radio mix by Rickidy Raw Hide and a DJ Tonka remix edit of "Push It (Again)," emphasizing the group's continued presence in dance and club contexts. The tracks offer a bridge between Salt-N-Pepa's classic rap roots and contemporary electronic remix culture, making it suitable for both radio play and club sets. Fans of the group will find the remixes emphasize rhythm and groove while keeping the trio's signature vocal attitude intact.

Includes three tracks: Rickidy Raw Hide Radio Mix, Original Version and DJ Tonka Remix Edit.
