Their work combines crisp digital production with analog warmth, layering percussive rhythms, textured synth pads and sampled fragments. The project draws from ambient, downtempo and early IDM traditions while keeping a strong sense of groove and melody. This approach made the act a natural fit for labels and imprints that champion leftfield electronic music.

Tone Capsule is a compact collection of tracks that showcases the range of the project from club oriented beats to more meditative pieces. It moves between modular driven pieces such as Mezzo Modular and more melodic moments like Welcome Back To Earth. The production highlights subtle sound design choices, frequency shifts and cut up techniques that were prominent in electronic music of the era. Issued as an advance promotional compact disc with a May 28 1996 release context, the set captures the inventive spirit of mid 90s electronic experimentation.

Published By Light Of Man/BMI
© 1996 Caroline Records, Inc.
Advance promotional compact disc.
