Their music blends sultry, jazz-tinged vocal delivery with electronic production, producing a sophisticated sound that appeals to both club DJs and listeners who favor moodier, atmospheric dance music. Vanessa Daou's voice and poetic approach to lyrics give the project an intimate, literary tone, while the production emphasizes deep grooves and textured arrangements. In the early 1990s the group released material on Tribal America and IRS Records and worked with notable mixers from the New York club scene.

This single release, Give Myself To You, collects several club-friendly remixes and dub versions crafted for dancefloor play and radio. The package features extended mixes, radio edits and dub treatments that showcase the record's versatility for DJs as well as casual listeners. Mixes such as the Five Spot radio edit, Grand Ballroom mix and Buzzard dub highlight both the song's strong vocal performance and its adaptability to different club contexts. The release captures the crossover appeal of The Daou between underground house and accessible vocal-driven dance music.

Credits and notes: Tracks include Five Spot radio edit, Grand Ballroom mix, Buzzard dub, At the Five Spot, Give My Dub To You and Peace & Love.
