The group blends melodic hooks with aggressive guitar textures and direct, candid lyrics. Their recordings emphasize a raw, live feel while retaining strong songcraft and dynamic arrangements. Over time the band has worked closely with independent producers and engineers to capture their energetic performances in the studio.

Quietman is a concise release that showcases the band's range from urgent punk-tinged numbers to more introspective moments. The album includes original songs alongside a reinterpretation of the classic 'Stayin' Alive' rendered in the band's style. Recorded at Desert Moon Recording and mastered at Digidoc, the release credits Turkey Neck with production and features engineering by Bryan La Brun and executive production by Brian Rennick. The record carries a parental advisory for explicit lyrics and was issued on Cirrhosis Records in 1999.

The most compelling link is that Rich Harris and Tommy Herr both appear in the lineup of Salem, a Huntington Beach progressive heavy/power metal band that also recorded for Cirrhosis Records.
