Known for his spiritual, Rastafarian-influenced lyrics and distinctive, haunting vocal delivery, he frequently worked with noted studio engineers and dub specialists. Yabby You produced and voiced a number of singles that combined devotional themes with the heavy bass and echo-heavy production of the era, often collaborating with players and mixers such as King Tubby, Tommy McCook, Big Youth and Augustus Pablo. His sound is characterized by minimal yet powerful rhythms, deep-rooted spiritual subject matter and raw, analog dub treatments.

This two-disc compilation collects material recorded between 1972 and 1977 and presents both vocal and dub/chanting versions across two distinct programmes: "Conquering Lion Style" (Disc 1) and "Chanting Style" (Disc 2). The set brings together original singles, dub versions and discomixes, featuring contributions from prominent Jamaican artists and dub engineers, and showcases the interplay between Yabby You's production aesthetics and the heavy dub treatments of the period. Fans of roots reggae and vintage dub will find this collection valuable for its historical scope and the depth of collaborations represented.

Disc 1: Conquering Lion Style
Disc 2: Chanting Style
Compilation spans recordings from 1972 to 1977.
