AGI has definitely hit another home run with the release of this course on tuning and accurizing military bolt actions. This course is designed to teach you how to super tune all the popular military bolt actions including: Mausers, Enfields, Springfields and Japanese Arisakas. The techniques shown are also applicable to most military bolt action rifles. Ken Brooks, Professional Gunsmith and Instructor at Lassen College Gunsmithing School teaches you everything you need to know. Ken really shines as he leads you through the HOTTEST tuning and accurizing procedures. He tells you which models are safe to build-up and which ones aren't, including what works best with magnum cartridges. This course is focused on tuning, strengthening and accurizing the action so it performs to its maximum potential in both reliability and accuracy. The course is so comprehensive there is almost too much to list. Ken starts by removing the barrel, then he removes the first thread from the receiver ring and trues up the receiver face. In typical AGI style, he not only shows you HOW to perform each procedure, he also explains WHEN and WHY you need to do them. You will learn how to remove the old barrel, fit firing pin tips and repair over sized firing pin holes for higher pressure calibers, squaring and truing the action, laping the lugs, bolt stop modifications for a smoother action, how to open up magazines for full length cartridges, how to fit a pre-threaded (short chambered) barrel, installing shoulders to prevent bullet nose damage, converting from standard cartridges to Magnum, opening the bolt face and fitting the rails, discussion of action heat-treating, improving the safety of the action and much more. Games that came out PRIOR to XP or higher will not specifically state they will work on that release, but only because they came out before those versions were made. Many, if not most, will work on XP or higher with a few quick adjustments. We provide instructions with all items purchased on how to do this adjustment using the Program Compatibility Wizard. If we find out that an item will definately not work on a specific version, we will state it. For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program if the Program Compatibility Wizard does not work.
64-Bit Windows OS Systems:
For 64-bit Operating Systems, older games most likely will NOT work due to 64-bit systems not being able to run 16-bit programming code (most games prior to 2000). For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program.
Macintosh Systems:
For Macintosh programs, most older games will need to be run in Classic Environment if you have a MAC OS X 10.0 - 10.4 version. Please research Google on how to do this, or send us a message for information prior to purchasing. If your MAC OS system doesn't support Classic Environment (ie. MAC OS X 10.5 or Higher OR Intel Macs), you will have to try running it using the free program called SheepShaver, but compatibility is not ensured. Please research prior to purchasing or ask questions.
