You are a professional soldier in the Special Forces unit, trained to fight under any circumstances your nation requires. You will be called upon to perform isolated tasks in other nations, far from your homeland and with little comfort. Make sure not to fail those with whom you serve and most certainly don't shame your commanding officer! "Be the best that you can be" in your "army of one."
In the single player game, you can select either Quick Missions or a Campaign. The Quick Missions allow you to play any of the campaign missions in any order you please by simply selecting from the list of available missions. The Campaign mode sends you through all missions in a logical sequence in which they occur. At the beginning of every mission, you can select a character and specify which weapons to use.
The characters, by nickname, include Gas Can, Mako, Pitbull, Snakebite and Longbow. Gas Can's specialty is accuracy with indirect weapons and he's basically strong and tough. Mako is the team medic in multiplayer games and she's the best swimmer, with high speed and the ability to hold her breath a long time. Pitbull is steady with heavy weapons and can withstand more damage than others due to his 6'5" 270-pound physique. Snakebite has an extended reach with the knife and she's a fast runner while Longbow can crawl fast and is steady with the scope.
Each character's abilities correspond to certain missions so you must choose wisely. Mission environments include both indoor and outdoor settings and range from inside the Egyptian pyramids to snowcapped mountains in Europe.
The multiplayer game allows you to play against up to 50 different players in Nova World or over any Internet connection. If you host a game, your connection speed needs to be at least 8 kbps per player (a 33.3 kbps modem will support four players). Special multiplayer game types range from Deathmatch/Team Deathmatch to King of the Hill, Capture the Flag, Search and Destroy, Attack and Defend and Flagball.
Weapons come in nine different categories: sniper rifles, machine guns, assault rifles, special, secondary weapons/sub-machine guns, pistols, explosives, standard gear (always carried) and auxiliary gear. In the first category, you can choose from a Barrett M82A1 Heavy Sniper Rifle, M40 Light Sniper Rifle or Heckler & Koch PSG-1 Light Sniper Rifle. There are two possible machine guns -- a M249 SAW or a FN Mag Light. You can select from five available assault rifles, three sub-machine guns and four pistols.
Choose from special equipment that includes a MM-1 Automatic Grenade Launcher, Pancor Jackhammer and UAW Underwater Rifle. In the explosives category, you can decide whether you need an AT-4 Light Anti-Armor Weapon, M18 Claymore with motion sensors or a Satchel Charge with a radio detonator. At all times, your standard gear will include 6 Frag Grenades, a Laser Designator, Ka-Bar Knife and binoculars. Every mission comes with suggested gear that can automatically be selected or you can choose your own.
Function keys during the game allow for a change between first and third person perspectives and you can cycle waypoints, flags, audio commands, turn the cross hairs on or off or drop an item. Instant access for cycling through all weapons is provided via the mouse scroll button or by pressing the first nine number keys. Utilize a scope to view distant enemies by pressing the right mouse button and use the left to fire your weapon.

XP, Vista...) will have to be researched by the buyer. Games that came out PRIOR to XP or higher will not specifically state they will work on that release, but only because they came out before those versions were made. Many, if not most, will work on XP or higher with a few quick adjustments. We provide instructions with all items purchased on how to do this adjustment using the Program Compatibility Wizard. If we find out that an item will definately not work on a specific version, we will state it. For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program if the Program Compatibility Wizard does not work.
64-Bit Windows OS Systems:
For 64-bit Operating Systems, older games most likely will NOT work due to 64-bit systems not being able to run 16-bit programming code (most games prior to 2000). For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program.
Macintosh Systems:
For Macintosh programs, most older games will need to be run in Classic Environment if you have a MAC OS X 10.0 - 10.4 version. Please research Google on how to do this, or send us a message for information prior to purchasing. If your MAC OS system doesn't support Classic Environment (ie. MAC OS X 10.5 or Higher OR Intel Macs), you will have to try running it using the free program called SheepShaver, but compatibility is not ensured. Please research prior to purchasing or ask questions.
