This Collector's Edition set includes four films that characterize the meaning of Film Noir. Literally meaning "Black Film", the term was coined by French critics in the 1940s as the type of American crime films that highlight cynical leads, seedy underworld characters and a bleak, pessimistic view of humanity. Noir's protagonists were mostly men, consumed by their past and driven to repeat their mistakes, generally at the behest of a femme fatale who attempts to drive them to extortion, murder and ultimate ruin.

DISC 1 — THE NAKED KISS — 1964, 90 mins.
Constance Towers stars as a prostitute who shows up in the town of Granville where she engages in a tryst with the local sheriff. After paying for her sexual services, Sheriff Griff (Anthony Eisley) orders her to leave Granville. Instead, she makes a fresh start from her past and becomes a nurse's aide at the local children's hospital.

Edward G. Robinson plays Pete Morgan, a crippled farmer who harbors dark secrets and attempts to keep everyone from a mysterious red house located on his property. Two kids begin to wonder about the house and get close to the dark secrets that lie within.

Robert Young stars as Jeff Cohalan, a man tortured by the mysterious car accident that killed his fiancé just before their wedding. Feeling tormented by her death, he spends his time alone in the cliff-top home he designed for her. Cohalan's bad luck continues as his horse and dog turn up dead without explanation, leading him to wonder if he is paranoid or forever cursed.

John Payne stars as an ex-con who can't seem to catch a break. Though trying to live an honest life, he is picked up on suspicion of taking part in a robbery masterminded by a former Kansas City cop, Tim Foster (Preston S. Foster). Deciding to run from the law, John Payne assumes the identity of a deceased crook and infiltrates the Foster gang hoping to gain more information.

Games that came out PRIOR to XP or higher will not specifically state they will work on that release, but only because they came out before those versions were made. Many, if not most, will work on XP or higher with a few quick adjustments. We provide instructions with all items purchased on how to do this adjustment using the Program Compatibility Wizard. If we find out that an item will definately not work on a specific version, we will state it. For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program if the Program Compatibility Wizard does not work.
64-Bit Windows OS Systems:
For 64-bit Operating Systems, older games most likely will NOT work due to 64-bit systems not being able to run 16-bit programming code (most games prior to 2000). For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program.
Macintosh Systems:
For Macintosh programs, most older games will need to be run in Classic Environment if you have a MAC OS X 10.0 - 10.4 version. Please research Google on how to do this, or send us a message for information prior to purchasing. If your MAC OS system doesn't support Classic Environment (ie. MAC OS X 10.5 or Higher OR Intel Macs), you will have to try running it using the free program called SheepShaver, but compatibility is not ensured. Please research prior to purchasing or ask questions.
