MATH MUNCHERS DELUXE
Visit any elementary school computer lab and you'll find that one of the most popular titles among kids ages 8 - 12 is MECC's Muncher series. Math Munchers Deluxe, hands down, is the most entertaining and motivating kids' math title yet! Meet the zany green Munchers as they dance their way around a boffo 3-D game board. Look out for the terrible Troggles, like Doggle, Slimey and the crazy Crumbley sisters, though. They'll eat the green Munchers, if you're not quick enough! Of course, if you want to seriously concentrate on the math, you can choose an option to play Troggle-free! The sound effects are hilarious, so get ready for some rip-roaring fun!
Kids also polish their math problem solving skills, as the Munchers rely on kids' math skills to help them trounce the Troggles. A great interactive way for kids to build confidence in mathematics.
Math Munchers Deluxe lets kids select multi-level play capabilities for grades 3 through 6. Although disguised as a zany game, this hot software really tackles a wide area of mathematics. Kids will be exposed to expressions, multiples, factors, primes, equivalents, mixed numbers and simple geometry. This software allows kids to review familiar math concepts they've learned in school and either practice at a comfortable level or challenge their abilities as they race around the board, helping their Munchers conquer the troublesome Troggles. Talk about Muncher mayhem!
Stefanie, a fifth grader, fell in love with Math Munchers Deluxe in less than five minutes flat. She liked experimenting with the different levels and agreed that the sixth grade level was a challenge. Math Munchers Deluxe kept her at the edge of her seat for hours. Stefanie told me she liked the hip audio and hot animation, while she thought that adding her name to the Munchers Hall of Fame screen was "really awesome".
Another interesting feature for kids was the ability to play the CD-ROM's audio track off a regular CD player (Track 2 only). Make sure you buy your kids a good set of headphones unless you don't mind hearing the song over and over again! Even though the battle between the Munchers and the Troggles is going strong in our house, the real winner is Math Munchers Deluxe for proving that math can be a blast!

We suggest going to Google and searching for the name of the game along with the words "system requirements" to determine if your system is suitable. Ultimately, we are not responsible for software compatibility problems or publisher's errors.

Stated within the auction is what platform the game will work on (ie. Windows, Mac, Linux...) This is a generic statement and specific platform versions (ie. XP, Vista...) will have to be researched by the buyer. Games that came out PRIOR to XP or higher will not specifically state they will work on that release, but only because they came out before those versions were made. Many, if not most, will work on XP or higher with a few quick adjustments. We provide instructions with all items purchased on how to do this adjustment using the Program Compatibility Wizard. If we find out that an item will definately not work on a specific version, we will state it. For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program if the Program Compatibility Wizard does not work.
64-Bit Windows OS Systems:
For 64-bit Operating Systems, older games most likely will NOT work due to 64-bit systems not being able to run 16-bit programming code (most games prior to 2000). For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program.
Macintosh Systems:
For Macintosh programs, most older games will need to be run in Classic Environment if you have a MAC OS X 10.0 - 10.4 version. Please research Google on how to do this, or send us a message for information prior to purchasing. If your MAC OS system doesn't support Classic Environment (ie. MAC OS X 10.5 or Higher OR Intel Macs), you will have to try running it using the free program called SheepShaver, but compatibility is not ensured. Please research prior to purchasing or ask questions.
