The Europa Theatre Series is a limited edition, DVD-only collection of classic films from the golden age of cinema. Paired together by director and featuring other material relative to the era of the films (such as newsreels and cartoons) each DVD includes a deluxe booklet and an interactive chapter featuring bonus material.
ALFRED HITCHCOCK (1899–1980)
Alfred Hitchcock was the most important film director of the 20th Century. Already established in Britain as a successful filmmaker during the silent days, Hitchcock was wooed by Hollywood after a decade of internationally known pictures done in the 1930s. His move west in the 1940s allowed him the financial and artistic freedom which he found lacking in England and enabled him to produce films that were aesthetically cohesive, technically challenging and basically appealing to the common man. They were also enormous commercial successes. Apart from Charlie Chaplin, no other director was so personally identified with his films, more so than any actor, actress or other collaborator. Hitchcock embodied the concept of "auteur" more than any other director and left an indelible mark on his craft, his audience, and the history of Western art in the 20th Century.
MURDER! (1930)
Released in 1930, it stars Herbert Marshall in his first speaking role. This was one of Hitchcock's early sound films, full of classic Hitchcock moments and a salacious story of transvestism, murder and betrayal.
THE LODGER (1926)
This was Alfred Hitchcock's directorial debut. Although a silent film it introduced to audiences Hitchcock's unique visual approach to film making and remains a classic to this day. Features a new digitally recorded musical soundtrack.

Items that come in a sleeve refer to a generic CD sleeve (typically white) and will be sent with shipping protection to avoid damage during transit. Stated within the auction is what platform the game will work on (ie. Windows, Mac, Linux...) This is a generic statement and specific platform versions (ie. XP, Vista...) will have to be researched by the buyer. Games that came out PRIOR to XP or higher will not specifically state they will work on that release, but only because they came out before those versions were made. Many, if not most, will work on XP or higher with a few quick adjustments. We provide instructions with all items purchased on how to do this adjustment using the Program Compatibility Wizard. If we find out that an item will definately not work on a specific version, we will state it. For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program if the Program Compatibility Wizard does not work.
64-Bit Windows OS Systems:
For 64-bit Operating Systems, older games most likely will NOT work due to 64-bit systems not being able to run 16-bit programming code (most games prior to 2000). For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program.
Macintosh Systems:
For Macintosh programs, most older games will need to be run in Classic Environment if you have a MAC OS X 10.0 - 10.4 version. Please research Google on how to do this, or send us a message for information prior to purchasing. If your MAC OS system doesn't support Classic Environment (ie. MAC OS X 10.5 or Higher OR Intel Macs), you will have to try running it using the free program called SheepShaver, but compatibility is not ensured. Please research prior to purchasing or ask questions.
