Join Elmo and your other favorite Sesame Street characters as you draw, paint and create artwork and special projects. Designed specifically for pre-school children ages two through six, Sesame Street: Elmo's Art Workshop is not only an art studio but teaches creative expression, colors and shapes, letters and numbers, visual discrimination, computer familiarity and mouse skills. Verbal instructions from Elmo will guide you through the activities and large on-screen buttons will benefit young users, but some coordination is required to use the mouse.
Sesame Street: Elmo's Art Workshop offers two modes of gameplay, Kid's Mode and Parent's Mode. Kid's Mode allows you to set up the program so the main menu bar is not visible. All activities are accessible in this mode, but you cannot print, save, load a previously saved image or use the HELP function. The game automatically starts in Parent's Mode, where all menu options are available. You can switch back and forth between modes during gameplay.
You begin the game on the main Activity Selection Screen, where you will find buttons that will take you to the four activities, Stickers, Painting, Coloring Book and Costumes. Click on any of these to go to the specified activity
Elmo's Stickers activity allows you to place stickers of all kinds on a variety of background scenes, including a Muppet talent show and camping. In the Painting activity you can choose from a rainbow of colors, varied line sizes, stamps and other drawing and painting tools to create fun pictures. You can also draw shapes and add in objects, letters and numbers. Using the Coloring Book & Craft Projects activity you can use preset patterns and scenes to make coloring book pages. Paint on the screen and print off in color, or print off scenes in black and white to color with pens or crayons, it's your choice. You can also do special projects such as making a Cookie Monster mask or creating finger puppets and greeting cards. The final activity is Costumes. In this mix and match activity you can dress up many of the Sesame Street characters with a plethora of wacky clothing and props. The characters appear in sets of two with twelve optional backgrounds.
You can save and reload any picture that you make in any activity. These images are saved as bit map files (.bmp files), and on the Macintosh the images save as PICT files.
In Windows Sesame Street: Elmo's Art Workshop offers a bonus feature, a Screen Saver Slide Show. You can take any saved images and display your artwork on the screen along with opening credits and a soundtrack.

Items that come in a sleeve refer to a generic CD sleeve (typically white) and will be sent with shipping protection to avoid damage during transit. COMPATIBILITY:
Computers are like people, each one is different. Unlike console games, a computer game may install and work flawlessly on one system but may need adjustments on another. This is due to a variety of factors, mainly the OS platform running, video card you have, drivers, protection software installed, etc. Many times manufacturers release updates to games to fix bugs and add enhancements. We would be happy to help get the game going on your computer, but ultimately compatibility issues are the responsibility of the buyer. We suggest going to Google and searching for the name of the game along with the words "system requirements" to determine if your system is suitable. Ultimately, we are not responsible for software compatibility problems or publisher's errors.
PLATFORM:
Stated within the auction is what platform the game will work on (ie. Windows, Mac, Linux...) This is a generic statement and specific platform versions (ie. XP, Vista...) will have to be researched by the buyer. Games that came out PRIOR to XP or higher will not specifically state they will work on that release, but only because they came out before those versions were made. Many, if not most, will work on XP or higher with a few quick adjustments. We provide instructions with all items purchased on how to do this adjustment using the Program Compatibility Wizard. If we find out that an item will definately not work on a specific version, we will state it. For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program if the Program Compatibility Wizard does not work.
64-Bit Windows OS Systems:
For 64-bit Operating Systems, older games most likely will NOT work due to 64-bit systems not being able to run 16-bit programming code (most games prior to 2000). For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program.
Macintosh Systems:
For Macintosh programs, most older games will need to be run in Classic Environment if you have a MAC OS X 10.0 - 10.4 version. Please research Google on how to do this, or send us a message for information prior to purchasing. If your MAC OS system doesn't support Classic Environment (ie. MAC OS X 10.5 or Higher OR Intel Macs), you will have to try running it using the free program called SheepShaver, but compatibility is not ensured. Please research prior to purchasing or ask questions.

Please verify you have the required hardware in order to use the specified media (ie. CD, DVD, floppy drives, etc.) If the item comes as a floppy disc, make sure you have either the needed 3.5" floppy drive or the bigger and older 5.25" floppy drive.
