An Alfred Hitchcock thriller.
Sir Alfred Hitchcock (1899-1980) was born in London on August 13, 1899 to a family who loved theater. As a teenager he studied engineering, but his underlying love of the stage caused him to pursue a career in film. He soon achieved worldwide recognition for his unique directing style. Considered by many critics as 'the master of suspense,' he once said, "There is no terror in a bang, only in the anticipation of it." Widely imitated, he is one of the greatest directors of all time whose genius is evident in every one of his films.
The body of a famous movie star is washed ashore, the victim of a strangling. Robert Tisdall (Derrick DeMarney), who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, is accused of her murder. He manages to escape just before he's to appear in court, and winds up being aided by the chief constable's daughter, Erica Burgoyne (Nova Pilbeam). Although initially wary of Robert, Erica becomes convinced that he's been wrongly charged. Her role as an accessory to the fugitive places her father (Percy Marmont) in a compromising position, and the frazzled journey undertaken by the misunderstood duo to bring the true killer to justice leads to a suspenseful series of exploits that are by turns whimsical and shocking.
Released in the US under the title The Girl Was Young, Young and Innocent is an early example of Hitchcock's gift for tantalizing his audience with expository images that are unknown to his characters. Of particular note is a brilliantly executed scene in which the camera slowly yet deliberately tunnels through a crowded hotel and stops abruptly in the eyes of the murderer. This exquisite shot is just one of many spellbinding treats to be found in this motion picture.

Many, if not most, will work on XP or higher with a few quick adjustments. We provide instructions with all items purchased on how to do this adjustment using the Program Compatibility Wizard. If we find out that an item will definately not work on a specific version, we will state it. For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program if the Program Compatibility Wizard does not work.
64-Bit Windows OS Systems:
For 64-bit Operating Systems, older games most likely will NOT work due to 64-bit systems not being able to run 16-bit programming code (most games prior to 2000). For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program.
Macintosh Systems:
For Macintosh programs, most older games will need to be run in Classic Environment if you have a MAC OS X 10.0 - 10.4 version. Please research Google on how to do this, or send us a message for information prior to purchasing. If your MAC OS system doesn't support Classic Environment (ie. MAC OS X 10.5 or Higher OR Intel Macs), you will have to try running it using the free program called SheepShaver, but compatibility is not ensured.
